Come down to Mattson Lower Harbor Park and enjoy a firework display right on the shores of Lake Superior. Every year thousands gather to witness one of the longest-running firework displays in the Upper Peninsula with the fireworks being launched from the iconic Ore Dock. The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at dusk on July 4, with a rain date of July 5. The Kiwanis Fourth of July Parade will start at 2 pm on Monday, July 4. The float line-up time is currently scheduled for 1 pm. However, this is subject to change. The trail will extend from McClellan to Third Street, then from Third to Baraga. ‘Together- A New Beginning’ and ‘Marquette’s First Fourth of July Parade’ are the themes for 2022. The Exchange Club’s Food Fest will be held at Mattson Lower Harbor Park. Saturday, July 2, from 6 pm to 10 pm. On Sunday, July 3, and Monday, July 4, Food Fest will be open from noon to 10 pm.
